Synopsis for the E Pacific within 250 nm of Mexico
811 PM PST Sun Feb 5 2023

.SYNOPSIS...Winds in the Tehuantepec region will remain strong
through Mon afternoon. A weakening cold front extends across the
extreme norther Gulf of California and Baja California Norte this
evening, with strong high pressure building across the Baja
waters behind it. The front will move SE and become ill defined
through Mon night, as high pressure strengthens. This will
produce fresh to near gale force NW-N winds offshore Baja
California from Cabo San Lazaro northward this evening through
Mon night, and through the Gulf of California waters Mon morning
through Thu. The next gap wind event in Tehuantepec is forecast
to start Thu.
